About SXSW:
Started in 1987, South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences that take place early each year in mid-March in Austin, Texas. SXSW’s original goal was to create an event that would act as a tool for creative people and the companies they work with to develop their careers, to bring together people from a wide area to meet and share ideas. That continues to be the goal today whether it is music, film or interactive technologies.

  1. She seems to know what she’s talking about, but it’s hard to take her seriously when she’s dressed in something that makes her look like a giant toddler with a bib. I’m sure it was designed by a big name designer and probably costs an absurd amount of money. But I think sometimes people who surround themselves with high fashion for too long start to lose touch with how absurd much of it really is and how silly it looks to everyone else.

  2. I was there and it was an Excellent presentation. They even kept my final question/complaint at 53:10 🙂

  3. min 25 – how do you get 242 unique countries when there are only 194(195) counties in the world – just interested – otherwise great presentation

  4. Stopped watching at 26 minutes. The numbers in her stats are so inflated that she even created 47 new countries. Zero credibility.
